WITH THE NEW GENERATION SEAclic BIO MADE OF ECOVIO®, STOROPACK WON THE PACKAGING AWARD, OSCAR DE L’EMBALLAGE 2019 IN THE PRODUCTION INDUSTRIAL PACKAGING CATEGORY.
Charles Poisson, R&D Director of the Molding Business division, and Christian Bellier, Development Manager Molding France, received the award in the French capital, Paris.
The SEAclic Bio made of Ecovio®, which was developed and manufactured in collaboration with BASF, is a protective packaging for transport of fresh food. Especially for fish, which needs special protection due to the high demands in transport, SEAclic Bio made of Ecovio® is best suited. Seafood is a very delicate cargo and needs hygienic and well insulated packaging. The SEAclic Bio made of Ecovio® consists of a bio and certified industrial compostable plastic, based on renewable raw materials and makes a positive contribution to the environment.
Another advantage: Thanks to its special construction, the box can be reliably closed without additional materials such as adhesive and strapping.
With the revised design, the focus is mainly on the areas of user-friendliness and sustainability, which helped convince the jury of the Packaging Award, Oscar de l’Emballage,.
Storopack is proud to have won this year's award with the support of its longtime partner, BASF.
