All the system solutions consist of the following components:

  • EPS-insulating box
  • Cooling elements
  • Outside shipping box
  • Payload box for the product
  • Packaging instructions
  • Test report

Benefits:

  • Easy handling
  • No additional layers between the cooling elements and the internal carton (payload box)
  • Large proportion of the overall volume is usable

Prequalified with standardized summer and winter scenarios

To document the effectiveness of the boxes, all the solutions are pre-qualified in a winter and a summer scenario on the basis of the European norm AFNOR NF S99-700. The certification is issued for empty packaging without transported goods, the 'worst case scenario'.
The average temperatures are 26°C for the summer scenario and 7°C for the winter scenario.

System solutions / 24h 2-8°C

Storopack offers five pre-qualified box sizes for temperature-controlled transport for up to a minimum of 24 hours at 2-8 °C.
The system solutions are available from stock. Temperature simulation in the climate chamber

  • Ambient temperature in line with AFNOR profile NF S99-700 with an average temperature of 27°C
  • cooling agent in the form of foam bricks
  • Empty packing space (worst case scenario) for greater certainty

System solutions / 24h 15-25°C

Storopack offers four pre-qualified box sizes for temperature-controlled transport for up to a minimum of 24 hours at 15-25 °C.

Ideal for small quantities of temperature-sensitive products or special pharmaceuticals. The inner box shields the goods from direct contact with the real PCM-accumulators +22. The accumulators are very stable and can be used several times.
The system solutions are available from stock.

System solutions / 96h 2-8°C

The new system solution for temperature-controlled transportation from Storopack keeps the temperature in the shipping unit between 2 and 8°C for approximately 96 hours, in accordance with the temperature profiles indicated below. This makes the protective packaging suitable for international transportation and particularly for products in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The system solutions are available from stock and are provided with all necessary components, including insulation boxes, cooling agents, shipping cartons, inner cartons, packing instructions and qualification reports.

Overview of the four system solutions

Temperature simulation in climatic chamber

Parameters:

  • Ambient temperature: based on AFNOR profile NF S99-700 with an average temperature of 26 °C in summer and 7° C in winter scenario
  • Cooling agent in the form of PCM and water batteries
  • Empty packing space (worst-case scenario) to be on the safe side

High-Line-palettshipper / 120h 15-25°C

The plug-in pallet shipper made from Neopor® is ideal for transporting temperature-sensitive goods, e.g. goods which need to be transported within a temperature range of 15 to 25°C. With an internal volume of 373.7 litres, it provides plenty of space for your products. Thanks to the plug-in modules, loading can be carried out comfortably from the side. Weighing just 76 kg when empty, including the cooling elements, the pallet shipper
is also very light, bringing weight benefits during transportation.

Data and facts

  • External dimensions 1200 x 800 x 1050 mm
  • Internal dimensions 926 x 516 x 782 mm
  • Internal volume of 373.7 l
  • 15-25°C for up to 120 h

The Thermo-pallet-shipper can be used to transporttemperature-sensitive goods such as medicines safely within a certain temperature range. Active cooling is not necessary as special PCM accumulators ensure that the required temperature is maintained. The pallet shipper provides the ideal solution for consignments which are too small to warrant the use of a whole truck but too large to enable individual insulated containers to be used.

Temperature test in the climate chamber

A temperature test was carried out in the Storopack climatic chamber over a period of 140 hours with outside temperatures ranging from -2°C to 15°C. No dummy product with its own energy requirement was used.

Components

  • Insulating pallet shipper with High-Insulating-Panels (HIP)
  • 12 x accumulators, PCM technology
  • Payload container with loading flap
